SANCHETNA - CENTRE FOR CARE AND COMPASSION


Sanchetna was established with the aim of providing education to every special need child to a school life, which is more than just academic achievement. It provides learners a platform where they make their friends, develops their social skills and nurtures their self-esteem and self-worth.

 

We understand learners as individual learners with their unique learning styles. Through that understanding and sensitivity for special needs students, the Multi-disciplinary support (MS) professional’s works to guide the learners toward academic success and self-advocacy.

 

By providing positive learning experiences that facilitate success for learners in special education through individualized instructions, as well as collaboration with parents, students, schools, and the community, learners will focus on their positive attributes and recognize their individual strengths and achievements to promote their future success.

Curriculum


We are committed to provide a curriculum that is meaningful and purposeful, cater the different diversity of needs and lead to their integration into the mainstream workforce. Our focus will be to keep their learning concrete and life skilled based.

INTEGRATION

School helps students with special needs access the modified regular curriculum in a separate setting through IEP (Individualized educational plan) with the aim to integrate students into the mainstream as far as possible. It emphasizes on individualized therapeutic services- Occupational therapy, Speech & language Therapy, Psychological Intervention and Special Education.

INCLUSION

The MS team works closely with the mainstream teaching faculty, Special Educators, Speech & Language pathologists, Occupational therapists and Counselors, to support learners with specific needs in regular classrooms along with their peers. Inclusion may be partial or whole, depending on the ability of the learner to work in a large group as well as the ability to cope with the curriculum.

Admission


Sanchetna believes in admission on a first come first serve basis. After a brief observation/ interaction and the center tour parent may decide on further process.

EARLY INTERVENTION CENTER

In early intervention center we identify and assess the learner’s needs at the early stage of development. Sanchetna provides services to promote physical, intellectual and social development.

  • Special education
  • Reading programme
